  • Great place to stay! Beautiful views from every room. Friendly staff and very clean rooms. It's also in a great location close to a lot of great places; the price is very low as well.  Loss of a star because I would prefer more amenities in the room. Would benefit from a mini fridge and/ or a table in each room.

  • Exactly what we needed. We typically stay at name brand hotels like the Hyatt or Hilton, but wanted to economize for a quick weekend to the UP. Though the room was smaller than we are accustomed, it was very clean and bed was quite comfortable. And the view of the lake is wonderful!

Places To See & Things To Do!

The Upper Peninsula is home to great scenery, many museums, waterfalls and so much more!

Great Scenery

Believe it or not, the Upper Peninsula also has over 100 waterfalls within its boundaries. There are many that are not on the state map, so a handy waterfalls manual may be needed to get to them all. Sunsets are a great catch while staying at our motel because of our balcony overlooking the bay. Scenery is beautiful in the U.P. and you won’t forget this trip!

Epoufette “a place of rest”

Epoufette has been a fishing village since 1859, when Amable Goudreau, born in Quebec around 1824, established a commercial fishery. It is a fun attraction to view for our Naubinway hotel guests. A lot of our guests check out the Top of The Lake Snowmobile Museum, specially in the winter. The Cut River Bridge is a great attraction to take in the lovely views Michigan has to offer.

Mackinac Island

Mackinac Island is not too far from our residence. You can check out Fort Mackinac which is a former military outpost featuring history exhibits and tours. The Richard and Jane Manoogian Mackinac Art Museum located in the historic Indian Dormitory building is a great museum to check out as well. Fort de Buade was a French fort in the present U.S. state of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula across the Straits of Mackinac from the northern tip of lower Michigan’s “mitten”.

Garlyn Zoo

The Garlyn Zoo is the largest zoo in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and is home to 450 different animals. A great clean zoo where the animals are treated great!
